Workers’ Compensation

We handle workers’ compensation matters for workers and employees. We do not represent insurance companies. Workers’ compensation benefits are the "exclusive" remedy of the employee against their employer for on-the-job injuries in Workers’ Compensation Court, meaning that an employee who claims workers’ compensation benefits cannot sue the employer for more money later. No attorney fee is awarded by the court unless the Client is awarded money in his/her case. In addition to the attorneys, the staff includes a New York State licensed compensation representative, Mrs. Ellen Slaght, NYS WCLR # 926.

We are located one block from the State Office Building in Hornell where the compensation cases are heard. The Hornell site is the only WCB site on the Interstate 86 corridor between Jamestown and Elmira, NY.  The client has the option of choosing where their case handled through the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB).  Thus, our clients choose to have their cases handled in the Hornell WCB Court.

Personal Injury

We handle all kinds of accident cases, injury cases and wrongful death cases where injuries or death are caused by the negligence of others in car accidents, construction, industrial or recreational accidents or by defective products or machinery in and out of the workplace.
